Urban Landscape Design Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Urban Landscape Design Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in landscape architecture, urban design, and project management.

The successful applicant will be responsible for designing enhancements to urban environments that meet the current and future needs of the community. This will involve working closely with stakeholders to understand their needs and preferences.

The specialist will also be responsible for preparing contract documentation, including specifications and tender documents, and administering contracts. Additionally, they will supervise consultants in the design of projects and work with project managers to oversee contractors in the construction of capital works projects.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing streetscape and open space upgrades for key urban activity centres.
  • Preparing contract documentation and administering contracts.
  • Supervising consultants in the design of projects.
  • Working with project managers to oversee contractors in the construction of capital works projects.

Requirements:

  • Well-developed design and documentation skills.
  • Well-developed communication skills to liaise effectively with stakeholders.
  • Tertiary qualifications in landscape architecture, urban design or a related discipline.
  • Experience in the preparation of designs for typical Local Government streetscape projects.
  • Experience in the preparation of contract documentation and the production of tenders.
  • Experience in the supervision of contractors.
  • High-level CAD and graphic design program skills.
