We're looking for a warm, experienced Cook to join our Hurstville team on a part-time basis, Monday to Friday, 7:30am–12:30pm. This role is perfect for someone seeking school-hour flexibility, meaningful work, and a chance to make a real impact — without evenings or weekends.

You'll be preparing fresh, seasonal meals in our brand-new, purpose-built kitchen, catering for up to 80 children aged 0–5. You'll also manage weekly shopping to ensure our pantry is stocked with wholesome ingredients that support growing bodies and curious minds.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and prepare daily menus that reflect children's nutritional needs, cultural backgrounds, and dietary requirements
  • Shop weekly for fresh, high-quality ingredients within budget
  • Maintain food safety and hygiene standards with confidence and care
  • Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and well-stocked
  • Collaborate with educators to support positive mealtime experiences
  • Maintain accurate records for menus, allergies, and compliance

What You'll Bring

  • Food Safety Supervisor Certificate (required)
  • Certificate III in Commercial Cookery (highly regarded)
  • Experience in childcare, school, aged care, or hospitality settings
  • Knowledge of nutrition guidelines for young children
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
  • A love for creating meals that bring joy and comfort
