Oz Education is actively seeking a full-time cook for our brand new 54-place childcare centre located in Redfern

If you are an experienced cook with knowledge in early childhood menus, food preparation for children with allergies and intolerances and meet the following criteria, please submit your cover letter and resume.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate an understanding of early childhood nutrition and dietary guidelines.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in planning menus tailored for early childhood.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of ingredients and suitable substitutes for children with allergies, intolerances, and diverse cultural food preferences.
  • Be able to efficiently manage food ordering and kitchen supplies through online websites such as Coles and Woolworths.
  • Coordinate and prepare food for centre events.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of correct food handling procedures and maintain the kitchen health and hygiene in line with regulatory and company standards.
  • Skillfully prepare, cook, and serve meals and snacks to children
  • Fulfill additional responsibilities as assigned by the centre director.
