About the role

Part time - 9am to 1pm (4 hours) - 5 days per week

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Childcare Cook to join our team at Monash Preschool and Early Learning in Wentworthville, NSW. As a part-time Childcare Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and serving nutritious, high-quality meals and snacks for the children in our care, ensuring their dietary and cultural needs are met.

What you'll be doing

  • Plan, prepare and serve healthy, balanced meals and snacks for the children in line with nutritional guidelines and any dietary requirements
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and food preparation areas
  • Ensure all food storage, handling and preparation practices adhere to relevant food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with the educational team to incorporate seasonal, sustainable and educational food experiences for the children
  • Maintain accurate records of food preparation, stock control and menu planning
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the food service and menu planning

What we're looking for

  • Strong knowledge of nutrition, food safety and hygiene practices for early childhood settings
  • Relevant qualifications and Proven experience in menu planning, food preparation and serving in a childcare or similar setting
  • Ability to work effectively in a team and independently to deliver consistent, reliable food services
