Work with the Manager Business Continuity & Resilience to the ongoing development of SA Water's business continuity management system, incident response and emergency coordination, and State emergency management initiatives.

About the role
As a key member of the Business Continuity and Resilience team, you'll lead and support initiatives across incident management, business continuity planning, and organisational resilience. You'll contribute to the development of frameworks, training programs, and strategic projects that strengthen SA Water's ability to respond to challenges and maintain critical services.
You'll also play an active role in the State Emergency Management Framework, including supporting the Engineering Functional Support Group (EFSG) and participating in industry wide working groups to shape policy and practice.
This opportunity is offered as a 12-month maximum term position.

The Business Insights and Excellence group drives operational excellence by enabling best business practices, economic pricing, financial management, supply chain management, and Risk Governance & Assurance to support the broader business and partners in delivering reliable, cost-effective, sustainable, and future-focused outcomes.
In addition, your responsibilities will include:
Fostering trust with our people, customers and community by providing expert advice and service that ensure we effectively communicate and engage audiences with our business strategy and its delivery across South Australia, every day.
You will:
- Lead improvements to SA Water's Major Incident Management System
- Support incident response teams and deliver training for Incident Controllers and Authorised Officers
- Contribute to the development and assurance of business continuity frameworks, plans, and systems
- Drive organisational resilience initiatives and support strategic risk projects
- Represent SA Water in state emergency coordination and industry forums
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:
- Qualifications in emergency management, risk, business, or related disciplines
- Experience in business continuity, resilience, or crisis management
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Ability to work in complex legislative and political environments
- Strategic thinking, analytical capability, and attention to detail
- Project planning and cross business delivery experience
- Business continuity certification (e.g. CBCI) is desirable
