Job Title: Business Continuity Specialist
Job Description:
The role of the Business Continuity Officer is to develop and maintain critical emergency response plans that ensure healthcare services continue during disruptions. This includes conducting risk assessments, coordinating training programs, and implementing disaster resilience strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Assisting with the establishment of systems for data collection, analysis, and reporting that contribute to effective business continuity management.Identifying and assessing potential risks in relation to business continuity planning and recommending strategies to mitigate or eliminate them.Developing, reviewing, and maintaining procedures and guidelines for best-practice management.Participating in Disaster Resilience Committees and exercises to enhance collaboration and knowledge-sharing.Conducting and scheduling business continuity exercises across healthcare sites.Assisting with the development and implementation of hazardous materials management programs.
Requirements:
Effective communication skills to engage diverse stakeholders.Interpersonal skills to foster trust and cooperation among team members.Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multi-disciplinary team.Analytical skills to evaluate problems and provide accurate findings.Prioritization and time-management skills to achieve deadlines.Experience in business continuity and emergency management, preferably in a healthcare setting.Proven ability to facilitate desktop, discussion, and practical disaster-based exercises.
