Frequentis is a leading global provider of communication and information systems for control centres tasked with safety-critical operations. The company develops and distributes advanced control centre solutions across two core sectors: Air Traffic Management (including civil and military air traffic control as well as air defence) and Public Safety & Transport (supporting police, fire and rescue services, emergency medical response, maritime, and railway operations).
At Frequentis, we believe our workforce should reflect the rich diversity of the communities we serve. We value inclusive, family-friendly practices as key to building a supportive, high-performing team. We understand that family life can bring varied demands, and we're committed to helping our people balance these responsibilities with their professional roles.
We are currently seeking Senior Project Managers to lead the successful delivery of complex technical programs. These are pivotal leadership roles that span cross-functional teams and contribute directly to the organisation's reputation for delivering excellence in safety-critical environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end project management ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and quality standards, while aligning with strategic objectives and stakeholder expectations.
- Collaborate with technical experts to identify effective remediation strategies and integrate them into comprehensive project plans.
- Oversee system build, verification, validation, and rollout activities in partnership with the Technical Solution Manager, ensuring all technical deliverables are met.
- Manage stakeholder engagement to proactively address risks, maintain schedules, and ensure successful delivery of project milestones.
- Ensure contract compliance and documentation standards are met, including alignment with ASDEFCON and ICAO requirements.
- Coordinate integrated project planning and control across resources, budgets, deadlines, and external partners including subcontractors.
- Drive continuous improvement through strategic planning, risk management, configuration control, and change request processes.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
- Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, IT, Computer Science, or equivalent.
- Experience in project management within mission-critical infrastructure or defence programs.
- Solid understanding of Earned Value Management (EVM) and other core project management methodologies to drive performance and accountability.
- Mission-critical mindset with a proactive, hands-on approach to identifying and resolving issues that arise.
- Strong systems engineering knowledge, including integration and deployment practices.
- Experience navigating federal regulations and complex contracting environments.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills.
You don't need to meet every listed requirement to apply. If your experience aligns closely with most of the criteria, we encourage you to submit your application. We're focused on your potential, your desire to grow, and the unique strengths you bring.
We strongly encourage applications from Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
To be eligible for this position, applicants must be Australian citizens and able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Any offer of employment will be subject to standard pre-employment checks, including a National Police Check.
