About the Role

Based in Adelaide, this senior executive position (SAES1 classification) offers an exceptional opportunity to lead infrastructure strategy and delivery from a whole-of-government perspective. You'll provide high-quality advice to the Treasurer and executives on major infrastructure projects, considering delivery options, market conditions, financial returns and commercial risks to ensure maximum value for the State.

As Director, you'll lead oversight and advice on major infrastructure projects including public private partnerships (PPPs), manage complex sourcing and contract negotiations, and identify opportunities for future infrastructure delivery in partnership with the private sector. You'll develop infrastructure policies that support strong decision-making and efficient delivery while building strategic networks across government and industry.

About You

We welcome candidates from the public sector, corporate sector, or professional services / advisory backgrounds. You'll have significant experience providing strategic advice on infrastructure projects, with demonstrated expertise in developing business cases, market analysis, and governance frameworks for complex infrastructure initiatives. Essential experience includes input into complex contract negotiations and demonstrating commercial acumen within large, complex organisations.

Your proven leadership ability will be evidenced through motivating teams to achieve objectives while building effective relationships across all organizational levels. You'll bring extensive experience providing leadership during periods of change, preparing complex reports on sensitive issues, and developing partnerships with diverse stakeholders across industry sectors.
