We're looking for a full-time Technical & AV Coordinator to join our on-site tech team at Fortress Melbourne

The 1,000 capacity Melbourne flagship venue includes an 800 sq/m 200 seat live esports arena, 150+ premium LAN PCs, old school arcade games, two licensed bars, private party spaces, a full-service Tavern restaurant holding specially created VIP video game booths and designated board game / tabletop areas, merchandise store, dedicated streamer pods, and a live broadcast production facility.

Areas of Accountability
As our full-time Technical & AV Coordinator, you will:
- Collaborate with the head office to provide broad oversight and coordination of the Fortress Melbourne Technology team, including independent supervision of a small team.
- Plan and coordinate technical set-ups for venues, events, and client services, addressing requirements to minimize downtime. Serve as a knowledge resource for AV and technology solutions.
- Coordinate with external teams for event and broadcast capabilities. Participate in project teams for seamless tech integration.
- Organize and implement scheduled maintenance for AV and technical systems. Operate and troubleshoot AV and PC equipment, managing inventory and ensuring platform functionality.
- Maintain records within Fortress technology platforms, documenting and communicating AV/IT solutions using a knowledge base. Respond to incidents, troubleshoot, and delegate responsibilities.
- Research, set up, and configure workflows for optimal AV and technical system performance. Work closely with all Fortress areas to ensure high-quality AV & tech facilities, providing broad oversight to the Technology team as needed.
What You'll Bring
- At least 1-2 years in a similar AV/technical coordination role.
- Degree or similar qualification in Audio/Visual, Information Technology or related fields preferred.
- Organisational and time management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Positive approach to change.
- Ability to work in high-pressure, time sensitive production situations while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Ability to work with a diverse group of people in a team-oriented, solutions-focused environment.
- Resiliency when dealing with unexpected issues and the ability to problem-solve quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to work a rotating roster including weekends and public holidays.
- Must have ongoing & unrestricted rights to work in Australia.
