Welcome to Eden Academy Harkness, our BRAND NEW centre due to open and welcome our future little learners to their home away from home We are a child safe organisation, committed to the safety, wellbeing and empowerment of all children.

Operating from 7:00am to 6:30pm we are seeking a skilled Chef to design, prepare and deliver balanced and nutritional food in our commercial style kitchen to cater for 119 children.

As our new Chef, you will:

  • Plan and prepare daily meals in line with nutrition guidelines and centre requirements
  • Cater to diverse dietary needs with confidence and care
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised kitchen environment
  • Engage with children and educators to promote healthy eating habits
  • Build genuine connections with families and create sense of community

What You'll Bring:

  • A Certificate III in Commercial Cookery OR Certificate III in Hospitality or equivalent
  • Food Safety Certificate
  • A current Working with Children Check
  • Strong understanding of diverse dietary requirements and food sensitivities
  • Australian Working Rights
  • Impeccable personal presentation
  • Experience in menu creation, bulk meal preparation, online ordering, stock management, and budget control
  • Proven experience in commercial cooking
  • MUST have full availability to work Monday to Friday
