The Role
Assetlink is seeking a dynamic, experienced, and strategic National Head of Security to lead our security operations across Australia. This executive role will be instrumental in shaping the future of our guarding services and ensuring our national portfolio is aligned with compliance, quality, client expectations, and our broader business strategy.
Reporting directly to the General Manager - Operations, you will be a key member of the leadership team, responsible for overseeing national operations, driving innovation, and managing stakeholder relationships at the highest level. We are open to seeing candidates from Sydney or Melbourne.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a national security workforce across multiple high-profile client sites
- Deliver strategic and operational leadership across Assetlink's security portfolio
- Ensure compliance with all security licensing requirements, employment law, and relevant legislation, including the Security Services Industry Award
- Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Collaborate with senior leadership, State Managers, and Client Relationship Managers to enhance service delivery
- Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and efficiency across national operations
- Manage contract mobilisation, transitions, and performance
- Deliver expert risk management, incident response, and audit oversight
- Partner with the Business Development team on tenders and new opportunities
- Oversee workforce planning, rostering efficiency, and commercial performance
- Promote a safety-first, values-led culture across all security teams nationally
You Will Need
- Minimum 5 years' senior-level experience leading large-scale security operations (national or multi-state)
- In-depth knowledge of security industry legislation, licensing obligations, and industrial relations frameworks
- Strong understanding of the Security Services Industry Award and its application across multi-jurisdictional teams
- Certificate IV or higher in Security and Risk Management (Diploma preferred)
- Valid Security Licence
- Strong commercial acumen and ability to drive operational profitability
- Extensive experience managing complex client relationships and large, diverse workforces
- Proven leadership capability with a passion for safety, compliance, and service delivery
- High level of resilience, adaptability, and professional integrity
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
