About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Security Technician to join our Sydney team, based in Macquarie Park.  Working closely with our operational leadership team, you will be responsible for installing, servicing, and commissioning commercial electronic security systems across a range of verticals and client sites.

What you will do:

  • Oversee system fit-off, termination and commissioning to ensure seamless integration and functionality.
  • Deliver service, maintenance, and installation projects, including system setup, testing, and fault resolution.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for customers and internal teams, providing expert support from quoting through to installation.
  • Conduct hazard and risk assessments in alignment with company policies, safety procedures and industry best practices.
  • Proactively identify process improvements and suggest enhanced installation methods to boost efficiency and quality.
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders to coordinate installations, service, and maintenance activities, while recommending quality enhancements and scope adjustments to elevate customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain and continuously improve a high standard of customer satisfaction through professional service and communication.

What will help you succeed:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience as an Electronic Security Service Technician.
  • Current NSW Security Installer License and Open Registration Cabling License.
  • Construction Induction Card (White Card).
  • Valid Driver's License.
  • Hands-on experience with alarm systems, CCTV, access control, and intercom technologies.
  • Proficiency with a range of security system brands, including Inner Range Integriti.
  • Strong ability to interpret design drawings, including wiring layouts, labelling standards, and cable support systems.
  • Thorough understanding of Australian Standards relevant to the electronic security industry.
  • Effective planning and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage priorities and resolve issues efficiently.
  • Advanced skills in technical programming and system configuration.
  • Exceptional customer service orientation, with the ability to perform under pressure and proactively meet client needs.
  • Excellent communication skills—verbal, written, and interpersonal.
