NWRH is currently looking for a Part- Time Care Support Workerto join their team based in Karumba and the Lower Gulf.
Working as part of a supportive, diverse and multidisciplinary team, you will beresponsible for supporting older people or people living with a disability in the community to meet their identified goals related to remaining independent in their home and connected with their community.
A typical day will include:
- Providing personal, social, and community support to clients
- Assisting with daily living activities and maintaining independence
- Supporting aged care and disability clients with dignity and respect
- Promoting wellbeing and inclusion in the community
Helping those who may not otherwise receive localised care and support, you'll get to see the real difference your work makes in their lives.

Suitable candidates will ideally hold a Certificate III in Aged Care, Disability, Community Care or Individual Support.
It is also a requirement that candidates currently hold, or are willing to obtain a:
- Hold a Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent), or be willing to obtain
- Current Blue Card and NDIS Worker Screening (Yellow Card), or willingness to apply
- Ability to pass a National Police Check
- Caring, reliable, and flexible approach
- Current driver's license and willingness to travel across the Lower Gulf region
Your genuine desire to provide support to older people and people with a disability, will be pivotal to your success. You will be a positive, solutions-focused, flexible self-starter with the ability to operate comfortably in both a team and individual environment with people of multicultural backgrounds.
Although not essential, previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded, as will prior experience working in remote locations. Proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite (or the ability to quickly learn), would also be advantageous.
