Role Description

This is a part-time, on-site role for a Disability Support Worker based in Cairns, QLD. The Disability Support Worker will be responsible for providing high-quality support to individuals with disabilities. Daily tasks include assisting with personal care, daily living activities, implementing safeguarding procedures, and offering emotional and social support. The role also involves facilitating communication between clients and other service providers and offering technical support as needed.

Qualifications
  • Experience as a Support Worker and in providing personalized care
  • Strong Interpersonal Skills and ability to offer emotional and social support
  • Knowledge of Safeguarding procedures and best practices
  • Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Technical Support skills and familiarity with assistive technologies
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Relevant certifications and training in disability support
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation is a plus
