About The Role
A Junior Architectural Designer at Hallmarc plays a key supporting role in the design process, working under the guidance of an experienced Lead Designer. This full-time position involves assisting with the development of architectural concepts through to construction, contributing to drawings, documentation, detailing, and design solutions that align with Hallmarc's standards and project vision. The designer will collaborate closely with internal teams across design, construction, and development to deliver coordinated and buildable outcomes.
A significant focus of the role is maintaining design integrity through site visits, consultant coordination, and responding to design-related queries during construction. The designer will also contribute to material selection, 3D modelling and design presentations. Strong attention to detail, visualisation skills, and a passion for innovative design are essential skills for the role. This role offers an opportunity to grow in a dynamic, collaborative environment while making meaningful design contributions across all phases of a project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the design process from initial concept through to project completion, assisting with conceptual design, the preparation of drawings, documentation, and detailing solutions that align with the project vision and Hallmarc's design standards.
- Work closely with Hallmarc's in-house design, construction, and development teams to ensure coordinated and buildable design outcomes.
- Attend site visits and meetings to assist with resolving design issues, responding to RFIs, liaise with consultants and ensuring design integrity is maintained during construction.
- Assist with material and finishes selections, including sourcing samples, and overseeing final installation as required.
- Produce basic 3D models using SketchUp and contribute to more detailed and advanced visualisations using appropriate 3D software.
- Prepare and present design ideas to the project teams and senior management
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail, with an ability to visualise concepts and translate ideas into refined, buildable outcomes.
- Stay informed on architectural trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable design practices to inform and inspire project work.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in architectural design, innovation, and emerging industry trends, bringing a creative and forward-thinking approach to every project. Proficiency in autodesk revit is essential, along with excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills to effectively convey design ideas and collaborate with internal teams and external consultants.
They will be highly organised, with strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment. A passion for design is key, along with a willingness to contribute constructively across all phases of a project. The successful candidate will possess a strong ability to visualise concepts and confidently explore new and innovative design solutions.
