About the role
A rare opportunity has become available to join Western Health's Finance team as a Finance Business Partner, covering a maternity leave position. This fixed-term role offers the chance to be part of a high-performing team and work closely with key business units to drive financial performance and support informed, strategic decision-making across the organisation.
The Finance Business Partner plays a key role in supporting strategic and operational decision-making across designated business units within Western Health. Acting as a trusted advisor, this role partners with leaders to provide financial insights, analysis, and advice that drive improved business performance and resource allocation.
Key responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting, Budgeting, Forecasting and Business Case Development & Evaluation
- Stakeholder Management & Communication
- Business Partnering & Other Finance related matters
- Other adhoc duties
About you:
- Bachelor Degree or Higher in Accounting.
- Strong attention to detail ensuring accuracy in financial analaysis, reporting and data interpretation.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Committed to continuous learning and professional development.
- High level of computer literacy, particularly strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data modelling).
- Sound knowledge of and past exposure to Power BI.

We also operate Sunbury Community Hospital, Sunshine Mental Health and Wellbeing Centre, Melton Health and Community Services, Bacchus Marsh Community Health Centre, Caroline Springs Community Health Centre and Grant Lodge Residential Aged Care in Bacchus Marsh. Western Health also provides the primary healthcare service at the Dame Phyllis Frost Centre, a women's prison located in Ravenhall.
