About the Role

HEVEN is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week). This role will ensure accurate, timely accounts are produced and translated into clear financial insights that support decision-making at the executive level.

The Finance Business Partner will work closely with bookkeepers to maintain accuracy and compliance, while designing and implementing reporting systems and processes that strengthen financial visibility across the group. The position requires someone equally comfortable with detailed financial accuracy and high-level strategic analysis.

The role is based in the company's modern offices in Camberwell, located 9km from Melbourne CBD, with ample parking, minutes from a train station and at the heart of the bustling Burke Road shopping strip. In addition, the client understands the need to accommodate flexible working arrangements that suit you.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with bookkeepers to ensure accurate and timely accounts across multiple portfolio businesses
  • Build and maintain robust financial reporting systems and dashboards
  • Deliver management report and insightful analysis for CFOs and executive teams
  • Provide financial insights that inform strategic and operational decisions
  • Identify and implement process improvements to strengthen internal controls
  • Acts as a liaison between finance functions and executive teams
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and KPI measurement across the portfolio
  • Drive adoption of finance systems and technology improvements
  • Forecast for new business opportunities and support management decisions

Required Experience & Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial analysis
  • Strong skills in budgeting, forecasting, and KPI reporting
  • High proficiency with financial systems and technology-driven processes
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills suitable for executive reporting
  • High attention to detail and a proactive, problem-solving mindset
  • Experience in process improvement and financial control is highly regarded
