About the Role

As the Head of Operations, you'll be part of the Senior Leadership Team and responsible for end-to-end operations across Maverick Bio. You'll provide strategic leadership across multiple teams, embed a culture of safety and performance, and lead transformative initiatives that align with our growth strategy. What You'll Do

• Lead operational functions across Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Collections, and Processing.
• Embed performance culture through clear KPIs and continuous improvement.
• Drive safety-first culture and ensure full compliance with WHS, ISO, and QMS standards.
• Champion operational excellence using LEAN, Six Sigma, and digital systems integration.
• Lead operational readiness for expansion, automation, and ERP optimisation.
• Mentor and develop high-performing teams and succession planning initiatives.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or related field.
• Exceptional leadership attributes to develop and motivate teams at all levels in the business.
• Certifications in LEAN, Six Sigma and WHS compliance.
• 20 years of proven senior leadership experience across operations, preferably in manufacturing, biotechnology, life sciences, or industrial sectors.
• Demonstrated success in leading multi-function operations with measurable outcomes in safety, quality, cost, and service.
• A strong ability to oversee and drive projects to successful delivery. Formal project management background with familiarity with Agile or similar project methodologies.
• Strong commercial acumen, budget oversight, and financial literacy.
• Deep knowledge of WHS, ISO (9001 and 13485), and QMS compliance frameworks.
• Experience leading digital transformation and ERP system optimisation.
• Strong cross-functional collaboration with Quality, Commercial, HR/Safety and Finance.
