About the role

Ferrovial Construction (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join our dynamic team in North Sydney, NSW. As a Procurement Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our procurement and estimation functions. This full-time position offers the opportunity to work with a leading global construction company and contribute to the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects.

What you'll be doing

  • Coordinating procurement packages in alignment with project specifications and timelines
  • Managing Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and overseeing ethical tendering processes
  • Negotiating and managing contracts with suppliers, vendors and subcontractors to optimise value and mitigate risks
  • Collaborating with Estimating, Design and Construction teams to ensure procurement aligns with Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and technical requirements
  • Identifying lead times and selecting suitable national and local suppliers
  • Tracking and managing procurement risks throughout the process
  • Supporting estimating activities and contributing to commercial meetings
  • Fostering strong relationships with both successful and unsuccessful subcontractors

What we're looking for

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in tendering for infrastructure and major construction projects
  • Degree in Engineering or a related field
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles
  • Excellent negotiation and contract management skills, with a strong commercial acumen
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong time management, analytical and problem-solving abilities
