About the role

The Assistant Night Manager will report into the Night Manager and support the night operations across the Realm Precinct, ensuring an outstanding guest experience. As an Assistant Night Manager, you will assist in overseeing all hotel operations during overnight shift hours, focusing on Front Office operations, night audit and hotel safety and security.

We are seeking a warm and welcoming personality, a passion and the ability to create surprising and memorable experiences and share great local knowledge of Canberra to assist our guests, whilst providing leadership and support to all members of the night team.

Responsibilities include;

  • assist managing the night team with all processes and procedures
  • first point of call when a Night Manger is not present
  • leading by example and deliver excellent customer service experience
  • ensure the night audit process including reporting is completed accurately for the Realm Precinct
What you will bring

Naturally, your previous years as a Night Auditor, within a luxury hospitality setting, will come highly regarded. As will the following:

  • knowledge and proficiency in Opera, Micros, Microsoft Office suite and Time Target
  • advanced time management skills, coupled with ability to delegate and coordinate competing priorities, where required
  • motivation to build strong rapport with guests and colleagues through effective, relatable and professional communication
  • leadership and mentoring capabilities to build and sustain an inclusive, high performing and supportive team
  • ability work under minimal supervision and maintain the confidentiality of guest information and pertinent hotel data
  • excellent personal presentation and presence
  • willingness and ability to exceed expectations
  • knowledge and understanding of budgeting, rostering and payroll processes
  • Current First Aid, RSA and Fire Warden Certification
  • Working on a rotating roster, shifts are overnight from 11pm - 7.30am.
