Senior Manager Analytics Capability and Infrastructure

As the Senior Manager – Data & Analytics Capability & Infrastructure you will play a pivotal role at the intersection of business, data, and technology. Acting as the strategic bridge between IT and the Data & Analytics function, this role drives alignment of infrastructure, platforms, and data capabilities with business ambitions. You'll empower teams to unlock the full potential of data, ensuring technology foundations are future-ready, scalable, and optimised for insight-driven decision-making.
Key responsibilities:
Data, Analytics & AI Capability Development
- Lead the design, build, and management of advanced analytics data assets, including customer feature libraries, within the Customer Data Warehouse.
- Partner with IT teams to ensure data pipelines, platforms, and tools meet the evolving needs of the analytics and business teams.
- Establish best practices, frameworks, and governance models for managing analytics-ready datasets.
- Champion scalability, reusability, and automation in data asset development.
- Provide thought leadership on the topic of using AI (covering both traditional Machine Learning and Statistical modelling and new Generative AI techniques and technologies). Champion the establishment and use of these technologies across the business.
Customer Management Ecosystem Leadership
- Drive the design and enhancement of the Customer Management Ecosystem, spanning CRM, marketing automation, and digital marketing platforms.
- Oversee integration of customer data across channels to enable advanced segmentation, personalisation, and real-time engagement.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Digital, and IT stakeholders to ensure platforms are fit-for-purpose, scalable, and integrated with enterprise data systems.
- Provide thought leadership on emerging customer engagement technologies and analytics applications.
Stakeholder Management & Strategic Alignment
- Act as the bridge between IT functions and Data & Analytics teams, ensuring technical solutions align with business goals.
- Partner with business leaders to translate customer engagement strategies into technical and data requirements.
- Communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.
- Manage vendor relationships and evaluate new technologies to strengthen the analytics ecosystem.
Leadership & Governance
- Work within a matrix structure across the team to deliver high-quality, business-ready data and analytics capabilities, leveraging direct reports and analysts in other teams.
- Act as the technical SME when it comes to data process design & coding.
- Establish robust governance for data quality, access, privacy, and compliance across the Analytics community.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Support the Head of Data & Analytics in defining long-term capability roadmaps and investment priorities.
The skills and experience you need to succeed in this role:
- 8+ years' experience in data management, analytics, or related roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- Proven experience managing Customer Data Warehouses and developing analytics-ready data assets.
- Strong technical understanding of data engineering, data platforms (e.g., cloud-based warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), customer analytics & AI/ML.
- Demonstrated experience in CRM, marketing automation, and/or digital marketing platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Adobe Experience Cloud, Braze, or similar).
- Excellent stakeholder management and the ability to work across IT, Marketing, and Analytics functions.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, privacy, and compliance frameworks.
Desirable:
- Experience in customer value management, segmentation, or personalisation use cases.
- Exposure to agile delivery methodologies and modern DevOps/DataOps practices
