Projects Operational Lead

Position Summary:
We're seeking a proactive leader to oversee project delivery operations, ensuring resources, compliance, and quality outcomes.
The Project Operational Lead is responsible for overseeing the QLD branch projects, ensuring the successful delivery of projects while maintaining efficiency and compliance. This role involves coordinating operational aspects of the branch, including workforce planning, to meet project and organisational goals. The Lead will review contracts to ensure obligations and compliance requirements are met, liaise with staff, and oversee project management processes to drive successful outcomes.
Key responsibilities include conducting operations in a safe and compliant manner, preparing accurate forecasts, identifying project risks, and providing regular progress reports to management. This position requires a strong focus on coordination, risk assessment, and operational efficiency to support the branch's success and adherence to company standards.
In this role you'll also be working on projects including overseeing installation of complex control, audio and video installations. You will be dealing with a variety of clientele, including corporate, education and government with interactions between clients, builders, consultants and other contractors.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and support the Project Delivery team, providing mentoring, governance, and performance management.
- Oversee labour forecasting, resourcing, and utilisation across state and national project teams.
- Implement and maintain project procedures, ensuring compliance with safety, quality, and industry standards.
- Drive interdepartmental collaboration between Projects, Sales, and Service.
- Provide client consultation during and after project delivery, including design review and handover.
- Manage team development through training, supervision, and performance reviews.
- Monitor financial performance of projects, ensuring on-time and on-budget delivery.
- Lead regular reporting, safety meetings, and labour allocation reviews.
The ideal candidate will have:
- AV industry experience with 5+ years managing large complex projects
- A hands-on approach with practical and analytical skills
- Strong communication, people management skills and team building capabilities.
- Ability to maintain and develop industry/ technical Knowledge.
- Manage their time efficiently and prioritise tasks.
- A sound understanding of audio-visual systems and other related construction service disciplines.
- Proven experience in managing project teams
- Preferably have an AGSVA clearance
