Bold Park Community School is an independent school, with a philosophy based on the principles of the Reggio Emilia approach to learning, catering for students from Playgroup to Year 12. We are currently seeking an experienced Administrator, with exceptional attention to detail to provide support across different business areas, whilst upholding the unique philosophy of the school.

Job Overview

The School Administration Officer plays a vital role in nurturing and maintaining strong connections within the BPCS community through the provision of cohesive support across several key areas of the school, including marketing, communications and events.

This role is 2 days per week (0.4FTE) from 8.00am to 4.00pm (days negotiable) with generous annual leave of 6 weeks per annum (pro rata) to be taken during school holidays.

Essential Applicant Qualities

  • Advanced Digital literacy & competency (specifically Microsoft Office, SharePoint and Adobe Creative Suite).
  • A relevant qualification or equivalent experience (e.g Business Administration, Marketing or similar) .
  • Ability to think creatively and work alongside staff (and children) in a collegial environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A current police clearance and Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable

  • Prior experience in event planning, marketing, or communications roles, preferably within an educational or community-focused organisation.
  • Understanding and experience in a small school environment.
  • Proficiency in using digital marketing tools and platforms, including social media management, email marketing and content management systems (e.g Microsoft 365, Canva, Mailchimp).
  • Current motor vehicle driver's licence.
