Qantas Loyalty is a high performing business and has a history of launching exciting new brands and services that make a difference to its millions of Frequent Flyer and Business Rewards members. Qantas Frequent Flyer and Qantas Business Rewards remain at the core of the program, while the business has evolved to include a number of new ventures and other businesses such as Qantas Money, Qantas Insurance and Qantas Wine.
The
Manager, Loyalty Channel Insights
is responsible for owning the Loyalty marketing and digital ecosystem insights, as well as leading the optimization of the Loyalty Marketing Channel Platform to drive commercial and customer benefits. This role will oversee the analytics and insights of our existing loyalty marketing channels, developing strategies and capabilities required to measure and optimise the contribution of each channel which requires a deep understanding of sophisticated, market-leading digital measurement tools, techniques and processes to continuously enhance and optimise.
The position requires deep expertise in digital measurement tools, data analysis techniques and performance frameworks to guide decision-making across marketing and product teams. By connecting diverse digital and customer data sources, the role provides actionable insights into member behaviour, enabling rapid improvements in marketing efficiency and effectiveness.
The role will lead a team of analytics specialists within the Marketing Performance and Web Analytics team, ensuring delivery of high-quality insights and recommendations. Success requires strong collaboration with Marketing, Product, Commercial and Data stakeholders, and the ability to influence senior leaders, positioning data-driven insights as a critical enabler of marketing effectiveness and improved member experience.
You'll Have
- 7+ years experience in a similar role
- High degree of knowledge in Statistical frameworks
- Previous experience in turning raw data into actionable, value-adding insights and recommendations, with a proven track record of success
- A high degree of commercial acumen with previous experience in making strategic recommendations for business improvement.
- Extensive experience in extracting and manipulating large volume data with SQL, with direct experience with Teradata platform preferred
- Prior experience in using Tableau desired
- Proficient in Google Analytics or other web analytics platforms
- Proven ability to communicate insights and recommendations to senior stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, both in verbal and written formats
- Strong capability of managing and prioritising a number of competing tasks for different stakeholders
- Commitment, professionalism, respect and a 'can-do' attitude in any situation
- Belief in the value of coaching your direct report and investing in building an effective and attractive team culture
- A background in the airline industry or other loyalty businesses is not necessary, but a strong interest in the industry and a desire to learn more would be highly desirable
