Position Overview:
As a Hardware Business Development Manager, you will play a key role in driving sales and delivering tailored solutions, while providing vital support to the head of division. This role requires a blend of sales, technical expertise in window covering hardware and home automation, and strong organisational skills. Must be Sydney based.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Consultation: Provide expert consultation on window furnishings and hardware solutions, ensuring that customers unique needs are met with tailored solutions.
Technical Support: Work closely with, and provide support to the head of division, assisting with product specifications and troubleshooting technical issues related to hardware and automation systems.
Product Knowledge: Maintain in-depth knowledge of the latest window covering hardware, motorized systems, and home automation technologies to recommend the best solutions.
Collaboration: Partner with internal teams, including Customer Service, Procurement, and Operations, to ensure projects are executed seamlessly and clients are satisfied with their final product.
Excel Proficiency: Utilise Excel to manage and analyse sales data, generate reports, and track client information to support operational efficiency.
Home Automation Solutions: Promote and integrate automated window covering solutions within larger home automation systems, including smart home platforms and IoT technologies.
Industry Experience: Must have experience in the window furnishings industry, with specific expertise in hardware and automation systems.
Technical Sales Experience: Proven track record of selling technical products or solutions, ideally within the window furnishings or home automation sector.
Hardware and Automation Knowledge: Strong understanding of window covering hardware (e.g., Internal and External Shading) and how these integrate with home automation systems.
Support Role: Experience working alongside and supporting technical or managerial staff in the execution of technical solutions and troubleshooting.
Self-motivated: Capable of managing sales responsibilities and client relationships independently without supervision, as well as the ability to work effectively within a team.
