ABOUT THE ROLE

The King's School, Australia's oldest independent school for boys, is seeking a visionary and dynamic Digital Learning Specialist to lead and inspire digital transformation across our Senior School, Preparatory School, and Tudor House campuses.

This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of digital learning in a K–12 environment. The Digital Learning Specialist will play a pivotal role in implementing and enhancing our Learning Management System (Canvas), integrating educational technologies, and building staff capacity to deliver innovative, inclusive, and engaging learning experiences.

You will work closely with academic and operational teams to ensure technology enriches teaching and learning, while also contributing to the School's mission to make an outstanding impact for the good of society through its students.

Please note, this is a permanent full-time opportunity commencing in Term at The King's School in North Parramatta with some day travel to our Moss Vale campus.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and model best practice in digital pedagogy across K–12.
  • Collaborate on strategic initiatives with the Dean and Head of Digital Learning.
  • Design and deliver professional learning in Canvas, Microsoft 365, and emerging tools.
  • Create multimedia learning resources and course templates.
  • Administer and optimise LMS, ensuring seamless integration and user experience.
  • Promote digital citizenship and safety aligned with Australian eSafety standards.
  • Support STEAM, AI, coding, robotics, and makerspace initiatives.

To be successful for this role you will need to be able to demonstrate how you meet the following:

You are a collaborative, forward-thinking educator with:

  • A tertiary qualification in education, instructional design, or educational technology.
  • Demonstrated experience in teaching and integrating digital tools.
  • Strong LMS administration skills (Canvas preferred).
  • A passion for innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Multimedia content creation skills and understanding of accessibility standards.

Desirable:

  • Experience in K–12 school environments.
  • Familiarity with NESA syllabus and Australian Curriculum.
  • Knowledge of STEAM and maker-based learning.
