Northern Beaches Hospital Food Service team is looking to employ casual Food Services Assistants x3 to join a busy department ASAP. You will work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment that strives to deliver outstanding healthcare to our patients.

As a Food Services Assistant your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist in preparation of food trays for patient consumption
  • Deliver, serve and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays in accordance with established meal schedules
  • Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
  • Clean and sanitize food service equipment in accordance with hospital & industry food safety and hygiene standards

Selection Criteria:

  • Current Food Processing Certificate Level 1 (working towards or willing to attain)
  • Prior experience in Healthcare Food Services
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to work without supervision as well as a part of a team
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Flexible to work a variety of shifts - early/late shifts & weekend work

Hourly Rate:

$29.21 per hour plus superannuation plus 25% casual loading

PLUS different shift times will reward additional loading:

  • Early afternoon shifts @10% extra
  • Mid afternoon shifts @12.5% extra
  • Nightshift @15% extra

Weekend Penalty rates:

  • Saturday @50% loading
  • Sunday @75% loading
