The Opportunity
As General Manager, Group Finance, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for delivering the Dexus Group's Management Reporting, Financial Reporting, AFSL Compliance, Treasury Reporting, and Tax Compliance. Acting as a centre of excellence, the team also provides commercial and technical accounting support to the broader Finance function and business.

This is a pivotal leadership role with broad accountability, including oversight of day-to-day accounting operations, preparation of financial statements and results materials, and the application of accounting policies. You will also support commercial due diligence and deliver insightful reporting to the Board and Executive Committee, drawing on a deep understanding of the Group's activities.

As
General Manager of the Group Finance
team, the key responsibilities are as follows:

  • Leadership & Culture
    : Shape a high-performing, engaged team culture by ensuring appropriate resourcing, fostering constructive behaviours, and providing clear direction, feedback, and development opportunities. Actively contribute as a member of the Group & Funds Finance Leadership Team.
  • Financial & Compliance Reporting
    : Oversee the Group's month end process, the preparation and audit of financial statements and investor results materials, and compliance reporting, including AFSL and treasury obligations, ensuring accuracy and alignment with regulatory and stakeholder expectations.
  • Tax & External Audit Relationships
    : Lead tax compliance activities across the Group, including tax returns, distribution and AMMA statements, and BAS lodgements. Manage relationships with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure efficient coordination and timely resolution of issues.
  • Commercial & Transactional Advisory
    : Provide commercial accounting advice and lead financial transaction support across the platform, partnering with internal stakeholders and external advisors to deliver practical, strategic solutions that support business growth and compliance.
  • Stakeholder Engagement & Continuous Improvement
    : Build strong relationships with senior finance leaders and external partners to resolve complex accounting matters. Inspire the team and influence others by championing a culture of continuous improvement, driving enhancements in the quality, timeliness, and insightfulness of financial reporting.

About you

  • Tertiary qualification in Finance or Accounting; CA/CPA qualified.
  • 10 + years post CA/CPA qualification experience in a combination of reporting, technical, commercial and/or transaction roles within chartered/commerce
  • Transaction Advisory within a Big 4 or commercial environment is advantageous
  • Proven managerial experience leading teams
  • Experience with finance systems (Yardi, TM1, Workiva preferred)
  • Experienced working in an ASX listed environment
  • Ability to communicate complex matters clearly and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills; comfortable with ambiguity and prioritising in dynamic environments
