About the Role
We're seeking a Pet Claims Consultant to join our Claims team. In this customer-facing role, you'll work directly with pet owners, veterinarians, and stakeholders to ensure claims are processed accurately, efficiently, and with compassion. From lodgement to closure, you'll be part of a team that makes a real difference for people and their pets when they need it most.
About the role…
- Assessing, processing, and managing pet insurance claims in line with policies and guidelines
- Reviewing veterinary reports and invoices to determine eligibility and coverage
- Communicating empathetically with pet owners, keeping them informed and supported throughout the claims process
- Liaising with veterinarians and clinics to gather essential information
- Identifying and reporting potential fraudulent activity
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulations
- Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the claims team
About you…
- Experience in insurance claims or financial services
- Strong understanding of veterinary medical terminology, procedures, and diagnoses
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to show empathy and build rapport
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage competing deadlines
- Confidence using data entry systems and office applications
- Negotiation and investigative skills, particularly with customers and service providers
