About the Role
As the Industry Liaison Officer, you will play a crucial role in supporting the ongoing delivery of the School Based Apprenticeship program by helping to manage and strengthen partnerships with businesses and industry stakeholders. Your work will focus on building and maintaining effective networks, working collaboratively with industry groups to create strong and dynamic links that promote School Based Apprenticeships as valuable career pathways for secondary students.
This is a temporary part-time position at 0.83 FTE, working 60 hours per fortnight, for a period of 12 months unless otherwise determined.
Your Responsibilities
As the Industry Liaison Officer, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Provide Administration support in the Senior Schooling space including data management in Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority(QCAA), Queensland Certificate of Education (QCE) student tracking, student attendance and other administration duties as required
Knowledge and skills around the sourcing Australian School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships and the capacity to actively seek opportunities for student placements in industry and potential School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships.
Promote and market the benefits to potential employers and other stakeholders and position School Based Apprenticeships as a career pathway preference for students.
Develop and maintain relationships with employers, training providers and apprenticeship support agencies.
Form connections and develop partnerships between school and employers that will assist students to transition to employment and make effective career choices.
Source vocational training opportunities for prospective students by actively seeking opportunities for student placement in transition to work programs.
