As a Senior Tech Data Analyst, you'll be part of the Business Analysis Chapter building Data Assets for the Financial Crime domain.
We work across the AWS Cloud, Teradata Group Data Warehouse, Hadoop Big Data Platform, Ab Initio technologies, which is why we're the perfect fit for you. Here, you'll be part of a team of data engineers and data analysts going above and beyond to improve the standard of digital banking, using the latest tech to solve our customers' most complex data-centric problems.

The Financial Crime Domain within CBA focuses on compliance and measures to prevent financial crimes. This domain is crucial for ensuring that the bank adheres to regulatory requirements and maintains the integrity of its operations.
We are interested in hearing from people who have:
- Worked in an Agile environment to solve problems and achieve common objectives in the broader data space
- Proven experience in understanding and supporting Big Data pipelines
- Experience in collaborating with business stakeholders to understand their processes, goals and pain points
- Ability to gather, analyse and document business and technical requirements
- Knowledge in defining and implementing test cases, test strategy, test plans for bigdata/ cloud applications and pipelines
- Hands-on experience in end-to-end testing of ETL process, data lakes and test data preparation/ creation, validating data accuracy, completeness, transformation logic, data quality and perform root cause analysis for data mismatches
- Ability to run projects independently end to end - from Data Analysis to deployment, utilising the DevSecOps model

- Highly motivated in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions who will work closely with business stakeholders, product owners to gather and translate requirements into functional specifications that deliver business value
- Are data enthusiastic in providing solutions that source data from various enterprise data platform into data lake, transform and process the source data to produce data products, transform and egression to other data platforms like SQL Server, Oracle, Teradata and other cloud platforms
- Ready to execute state-of-the-art coding and testing practices, driving high quality outcomes to solve core business objectives and minimise risks
- Data security and data management experience
- Have a natural drive to educate, communicate and coordinate with different internal stakeholders
Key Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in using tools like Zepplin, Alation, JupyterHub
- Data Processing: Understanding of Python, Spark
- Marketplace & APIs: Exposure to AWS Marketplace, API Gateway, and data monetization strategies
- Experience using test management tools like JIRA, version control Git
- Experience with Snowflake, or Apache Iceberg
- Experience in analysing data products, transformation rules, solution in any Data platforms
- Knowledge of data product thinking and data mesh principles
- Understanding of AWS Technologies including Redshift, Iceberg tables, EMR, Glue, Athena, S3 etc .
