Pullman Cairns International offers an exciting indoor and outdoor, poolside bar where you can showcase your bartending skills in a fun, social and fast-paced setting. From shaking up refreshing poolside cocktails to pouring great beer and wine in Coco's Kitchen + Bar, you'll work with quality products, serve relaxed bites, and connect with guests who are here to unwind and enjoy the tropical atmosphere. Expect plenty of variety, strong team spirit, and opportunities to grow your skills across our bars, restaurant, and the wider Food & Beverage department.

Job Description
We're looking for a lively and service-savvy Bar Attendant who brings great energy and unforgettable vibes to every guest they meet.

What You'll Do

  • Greet guests with genuine warmth and guide them with fun, knowledgeable recommendations
  • Shake, stir, pour, and serve drinks with flair - keeping service upbeat, smooth, and poolside-perfect
  • Keep the bar looking its best: clean, organised, stocked, and always inviting
  • Bring the energy to poolside events and functions, helping create a lively, resort-style atmosphere
  • Stay on top of bartending essentials, including accurate stock management and inventory tasks

Qualifications

  • A warm, approachable personality and a genuine passion for creating great guest experiences
  • Solid beverage knowledge - from classic cocktails to wines and spirits - and a desire to keep learning
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service, ideally behind the bar
  • A positive, can-do attitude and the ability to thrive in a lively, fast-paced poolside environment
  • A valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certification
  • Flexibility to work across a rotating roster, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays
