Job Description

THE ROLE

  • Design of a wide range of structures in accordance with the XK standards
  • Complete designs with the project drafter
  • Coordinate minor design requirements with the consultant's team
  • Checking the design and documentation
  • Carrying out site inspections of projects
  • Carrying out site visits to assist in the design process
  • Liaising with builders, other consultants and clients
  • Representing XK, you will manage and develop valuable relationships with project partners, including architects, consultants, project managers and builders.

As a Graduate, you have a demonstrated experience in the following:

  • Understanding of structural design principles and their application to engineering design and construction
  • Experience in using design software preferred but not essential (ETABS, SAFE and Bentley Structural Enterprise software)
  • Coordinate minor design requirements with the consultant team
  • Understand the scope of work and timelines to achieve project deliverables
  • Strong analytical skills to develop effective and innovative solutions
  • The ability to manage your workload to achieve project deliverable

  • Team player with great energy and passion for structural engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
  • Membership with Engineers Australia an advantage
  • Previous exposure to engineering would be advantageous
  • Desire to build your career in a supportive, progressive organisation
  • High attention to detail and motivation towards furthering your technical skills
  • You will be an excellent communicator with a passion for continuous learning and development
