About the Opportunity

We're looking for a technically astute and hands-on Technology Lead to join our team on a 14 month fixed-term contract, with the potential for extension based on business needs and performance. This role offers a hybrid working model and is a key leadership position within Adica's Technology function.

As a senior technical authority, you'll drive the successful delivery and operational support of solutions across Adica's platforms, with a strong emphasis on Guidewire InsuranceSuite. You'll lead development teams, oversee solution design and integration, and ensure delivery excellence throughout the software development lifecycle. This is a unique opportunity to shape the future of our technology ecosystem while mentoring teams and embedding best practices across the organisation.

What You'll Be Responsible For

• Leading the technical delivery of Guidewire InsuranceSuite implementations and upgrades, including integration with internal systems and external partners.

• Coordinating development activities across teams to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

• Providing hands-on leadership throughout the software development lifecycle from design and build to deployment and post-implementation support.

• Collaborating with developers, analysts, testers, and business stakeholders to ensure solutions meet both functional and non-functional requirements.

• Managing operational support for Guidewire platforms, including performance monitoring, incident resolution, and release coordination.

• Staying current with Guidewire capabilities, certifications, and emerging features to inform solution design and delivery.

• Contributing to technical documentation, including solution designs, integration specifications, and support procedures.

• Driving alignment between delivery teams and strategic technology goals, ensuring solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.

• Supporting Technology Leadership in roadmap planning, capability uplift, and mentoring of technical teams.

What You'll Bring

• 5+ years of experience in a technical leadership role, with a strong background in software engineering and solution delivery.

• Proven experience leading development teams using modern engineering practices.

• Deep hands-on experience with Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter), including configuration, integration, and extension.

• Familiarity with frontend technologies such as Jutro or other modern UI frameworks.

• Strong understanding of API design, digital integration, and middleware technologies.

• Exposure to Azure Cloud services and cloud-native development; certifications are a plus.

• Experience in the insurance industry or other regulated environments.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into business outcomes.

• A passion for mentoring and uplifting technical teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
