Based in the most beautiful part of Australia in Far North Queensland, Mareeba is one of the busiest farms you'll come across. We grow a variety of crops on several farms located near Mareeba.

We are looking for a farm spray operator to join our busy team.

On the job training will be provided.

About the Role

  • Operate and maintain spray equipment, including tractors, sprayers and related equipment.
  • Mix and apply chemical and fertiliser as per spray record whilst using appropriate techniques and equipment.
  • Monitor weather conditions and follow established procedures to ensure safe and effective application of sprays.
  • Maintain accurate records of all spraying activities, including spray logs equipment maintenance and inventory control.
  • Communicate with Management, supervisors and other team members to coordinate spraying activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Adhere to all safety guidelines and regulations, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • If weather does not permit spraying content to complete other farm labouring duties.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

  • Prior experience in similiar role advantageous
  • Physically fit and able to lift heavy objects
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Able to follow direction and communicate well
  • OH&S awareness

Essential Criteria

  • Minimum C Class Australian issued Drivers Licence essential
  • Current ChemCert accreditation preffered

Pay rate will start minimum as per the Horticulture Award.
