ABOUT THE JOB:-
We are looking for a qualified, self motivated, highly practical and hands on mechanical fitter and turner to work on the maintenance of plant and equipment on our afternoon shift. Experience within the food or pharmaceutical industry will be well regarded.
It is expected that the successful candidate will also have experience in site preventative maintenance procedures, machine installations and modifications. Of equal importance is your "can do" attitude and continuous improvement mindset. You will be part of a busy team, located in a state of the art new facility in Rowville. There is planned, ad hoc and breakdown maintenance activity. From time to time there is also the installation and modification of new and existing plant and equipment to required safety, environmental and quality standards.
WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCESSFULLY DO OUR JOB:-
Prerequisites
- A strong knowledge of mechanical engineering
- Completed a Certificate III in Engineering as part of an apprenticeship or TAFE course.
- At least 2-4 years experience in a similar role within the FMCG industry
- Flexibility to work Monday to Friday afternoon 2pm to 10pm
- Ability to be a team player but also able to work independently.
- Excellent time management skills
- Must be fluent in English and have the ability to engage others to listen and follow instructions.
- A confident and approachable personality that can interact with stakeholders at all levels of the business.
