The Role
Due to rapid growth, we have a number of newly created positions for a Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter / Welder. The role will be 38 hours a week with a 1pm finish every Friday. Overtime is available.
This is an exciting opportunity to be part of rapidly growing company, a supportive team with a great workplace culture. To be successful you will ideally demonstrate experience in either of these areas: Fitter & Turner, Welder, Automotive Mechanic, Mechanical Fitter, Service Technician, or have Semi Trailer, forklift, plant or general mechanical Experience.
Duties
These positions will be required to carry out a wide range truck modifications and duties, including but not Limited to the following.
- Wheelbase modifications
- Lazy axle installations
- Tow Bar and 5th wheel installs
- Prime mover fit outs,
- General fitting and mechanical work
- General welding and fabrication
- Some spray painting
- Conducting safety, quality control and other system checks
- Fitting electrical components and accessories
- Operating power tools including grinders, polishers, magnetic drills etc.
We will provide attractive wages, training and flexible, family friendly working hours.
Driver's licence, Basic Mechanics hand tools are essential for this role as will the ability to pass a pre- employment medical.
This is an immediate start for anyone who is motivated and willing to learn new skills, while also being responsible for their own projects.
