The Role

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Behaviour Support Practitioner (BSP) to join our team on a contract basis. You will work with NDIS participants, their families, and support networks to develop and implement Behaviour Support Plans that are evidence-based, strengths-focused, and compliant with NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission requirements.

This role offers flexible working arrangements, supportive leadership, and the opportunity to make a tangible impact on the lives of people with disability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct functional behaviour assessments and develop Interim and Comprehensive Behaviour Support Plans.
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to families, carers, and support staff.
  • Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies with a focus on least restrictive practices.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (OTs, Speech Pathologists, Psychologists, Support Coordinators, etc.).
  • Maintain accurate, professional documentation in line with NDIS Practice Standards.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and ongoing professional development.
About You
  • Recognised qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, OT, or related field.
  • Experience in Positive Behaviour Support within the NDIS sector.
  • Current registration as a Behaviour Support Practitioner (Practitioner (Core, Proficient, or Advanced/Specialist) with the NDIS Commission.
  • Strong understanding of restrictive practices, authorisation processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and report-writing skills.
  • Current NDIS Worker Screening Check, Working with Children Check, Police Clearance, and Driver's Licence.
  • ABN and professional indemnity/public liability insurance.
  • NDIS Worker Screening, Working With Children Check (WWCC), completion of NDIS Worker Modules, and PRODA registration.
  • Own driver's license, reliable vehicle, laptop, phone, and other essential tools for the role.
  • Any other registrations, training, or compliance requirements relevant to the role or as required by NDIS and industry standards.
