Behaviour Support Practitioner
- Are you an experienced NDIS Suitable Behaviour Support Practitioner who is passionate about behaviour, and committed to person-centred best practice?
- Would you like to join a progressive team who will support and value you?
Opportunities are available immediately.
This role will provide Behaviour Support services to the Perth and surrounding areas. We have a particular need for a practitioner who has experience working across all ages, however experience with any age groups will be considered.
We are also looking for practitioners across other areas in Australia. If your location and age group specialisation isn't listed in our adverts, but there is a need for Specialist Positive Behaviour Support in your area, please get in touch with us
About us:
We are an NDIS-registered provider, and we work throughout QLD, NSW, VIC, WA and TAS. Some of our practitioners specialise, but across the entire organisation, we work with all ages, all diagnoses, and all behaviour.
Kameleon Group specialises in positive behaviour support services. Our services are grounded in evidence-based best practices.
About the role:
This role has the flexibility to either be part-time or full-time. This is a hybrid working from home and mobile role. You will be based at home (no commute) and will go out to visit people in their homes, schools, workplaces, programs, and in the community.
Being a behaviour support specialist involves working with people and their support networks to bring about positive change. We do this by understanding the relationship between a person's environment (social and physical) and their behaviour, and then influencing that person's environment so that it sets them up for success.
Our practitioners meet with clients, conduct assessments, analyse behavioural data, develop strategies and Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs), support implementation of those strategies and plans, monitor progress, and review where necessary. The role involves other elements, too – connecting with other team members, attending training, participating in projects or research, facilitating workshops, and more. We are proud to have a diverse and passionate team, and we support people to lean into their strengths and interests.
About you
- You are an experienced Behaviour Support Practitioner preferably with 2+ years experience
- You are registered with the NDIS as a suitable Behaviour Support Practitioner
- You value integrity, collaboration, and transparency

- You have experience working with children and people with disability, and you are familiar with the NDIS
- You have experience undertaking functional assessments and developing PBSPs
- You have experience in coaching families and support workers, ideally in implementing PBSPs that you have written
