Our Food Service and Convenience business encompasses our wholesale, foodservices and distribution services across the Campbells Wholesale, Superior Food Services, and Independent Grocers brands – servicing small to medium businesses right across Australia. About the Opportunity
We're looking for a Business Development Representative based in Cairns. The Business Development Representative is responsible for driving profitable sales growth by managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering exception service across the Food Service and Convenience sectors. This role combines account management with proactive business development, ensuring both retention and expansion of the customer base while meeting and exceeding sales targets.
In this Role
- Seek out new initiatives and opportunities to develop business
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships as well as managing customer relationships to maximize overall sales potential
- Introduce new categories to existing customers
- Achieve Budgeted sales & margin in line with budget document
- Manage contract pricing by customer and review as necessary
- Continuously look for ways to meet and exceed customer expectations
You're Likely a Match If
- Proven sales experience with a strong focus on customer service excellence
- Solid understanding of the Food Service and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG) industry
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- In-depth knowledge of the Cairns market
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Skilled in data analysis to support business insights and decision-making
