Maintenance Assistant – Elysian Retreat, Long Island (Whitsundays)

About the Role:

Join the team at Elysian Retreat, a boutique off-grid island resort nestled on Long Island in the Whitsundays. We're seeking a reliable, hands-on Maintenance Assistant who takes pride in their work and enjoys the challenge of maintaining a remote, luxury property. This role offers the chance to be part of a close-knit team in a truly unique island environment.

Key Responsibilities:


• General repairs and upkeep across guest and staff facilities


• Routine inspections and preventative maintenance


• Assist with solar, generator, water, and waste systems


• Maintain the presentation and upkeep of resort grounds and gardens


• Carry out daily maintenance tasks to ensure smooth and efficient resort operations

Skills & Experience:


• Trade qualification (electrical, plumbing, carpentry, or similar) advantageous


• Proven maintenance experience (resort or remote site experience a bonus)


• Practical, adaptable, and self-motivated


• Comfortable working independently and as part of a small team
