We are currently seeking a
technically skilled and security-conscious Identity and Access Engineer
to join a high-performing Platform Services team within a Federal Government department.

This
senior-level EL1 equivalent
role will focus on the delivery and support of secure, scalable, and modern identity services across the department. You'll also contribute to broader areas such as
Privileged Access Management (PAM), Windows Server environments, and enterprise security tools
.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and support IAM platforms like
    Microsoft Identity Manager (MIM)
    and
    Unify Broker
    .
  • Maintain and enhance PAM tools such as
    CyberArk
    and
    Secret Server
    .
  • Provide operational support across
    Windows Server
    ,
    Active Directory
    ,
    MECM
    ,
    SCOM
    , and related infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cyber, infrastructure, HR, and application teams to ensure security and seamless access workflows.
  • Document and improve IAM workflows, configurations, and procedures.
  • Actively contribute to knowledge sharing and upskilling team members.


Essential Criteria

  • Strong experience with
    IAM/PAM
    , including
    MIM
    ,
    Unify Broker
    ,
    EntraID
    .
  • Deep Windows Server expertise:
    Active Directory, DNS, PKI, ADFS, MECM/SCOM, Intune, AGPM
    , and more.
  • Sound understanding of cyber security tools like
    application whitelisting, vulnerability scanners, HIPS, device control
    , etc.


Desirable Criteria

  • Knowledge of
    Australian Government cybersecurity standards
    (ISM, Essential Eight, ACSC guidelines).
  • Proven contribution to enhancing IAM strategy and operations.

  • Skilled in developing technical documentation (SOPs, designs, security artefacts).

  • Submit a
