Risk Systems Analyst

Homebush, New South Wales, Australia Teachers Mutual Bank Limited Full time $90,000 - $120,000 per year

About the Role

We're on the hunt for a dynamic Risk System Analyst to join our team and play a pivotal role in shaping the Bank's Second Line of Assurance (2LoA). This is your chance to dive deep into the world of risk systems—spanning Operational Risk, Complaints, Fraud, and ID—and help ensure our first line of defence (1LoA) is managing risk with precision, agility, and impact.

This role is a 12 month FTC

Key responsibilities:

  • Support the configuration and development of RSA Archer as part of the MORE program, bringing fresh energy and expertise to enhance system capabilities.
  • Perform hands-on configuration tasks within Archer—tweaking workflows, fields, and modules to boost usability and functionality.
  • Maintain clear documentation of configuration changes and drive continuous improvement across risk systems.
  • Configure and maintain the
    Controls Library
within Archer, ensuring it aligns with business needs and maintains system integrity.
  • Use your system administration and configuration know-how to support tool enhancements and troubleshoot issues.
  • Apply your configuration skills to other platforms, especially those tied to IT incident management.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business needs into smart, effective system configurations.
  • Provide input into system design and development to support operational risk and compliance reporting—no deep governance expertise required.

About You

You're curious, analytical, and ready to make a difference. You bring experience from the banking world and a knack for system configuration and reporting. You're not afraid to dig into data, challenge assumptions, and build solutions that work.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience in various aspects of banking operations.
  • Strong system configuration and reporting skills.
  • Sharp analytical abilities, gained through work experience or tertiary education.
  • Knowledge of banking systems and ancillary applications is a big plus.
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills, especially in Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience engaging internal and external stakeholders.
