In this exciting period of growth, we're expanding our multi-disciplinary team to support a diverse range of innovative defence projects. We are currently looking for a highly skilled Toolmaker/CNC Machinist to join us and contribute to the future of defence technology.

About the Role

As a Toolmaker/CNC Machinist at DefendTex, you will play a vital role in supporting our Engineering team to develop state-of-the-art products and systems for tomorrow's defence needs. You will be immersed in an environment where collaboration, creativity, and technical expertise drive every project.

What We're Looking For

You will bring expertise and experience in:

• Extensive CNC machining
• Programming, setting, and running CNC mills and lathes (experience with 5-axis multi-tasking machines is highly desirable)
• CAD/CAM programming (NX experience is highly desirable)
• Selection and application of tooling
• Metrology of machined components
• Manual machining practices

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

• Trade Qualified Fitter and Turner / CNC Machinist
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Strong understanding of Fanuc/ISO G Code
• Ability to satisfy Baseline Security Clearance (must have Australian citizenship)

Desirable Skills:

• Forklift licence
• Welding experience (MIG, TIG, Arc)
