Industrial Sewing Machinist

Australian Residents Only – Must Live in Melbourne

We're, a business in Dandenong South that's been crafting market umbrellas and cafe barriers for over 40 years. Our products are used by cafes, restaurants, and major companies across Australia.

We're looking for an experienced Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our small, friendly team in our Dandenong factory. If you've got skills on an industrial sewing machine and a sharp eye for detail, we'd love to hear from you.

This is a casual role to begin with, leading to a full time position for the right candidate.

8-hour shifts, Monday to Friday. You'll have your own workstation but work alongside a tight-knit team. We'll provide training on our specific products and processes to help you settle in.

What You'll Do:

  • Sew medium-weight canvas umbrellas using industrial sewing machines (walking foot machines).
  • Focus on precision and quality to meet our high standards.
  • Follow instructions and work with the team to get jobs done right.

What We Need:

  • Solid experience using industrial sewing machines, especially walking foot machines.
  • Some background in manufacturing or factory work.
  • A willingness to learn and take direction with a positive attitude.
  • Good communication skills to work well with the team.
  • Overlocking experience is a bonus but not required.
