The Brisbane Motor Museum is a dynamic and growing destination celebrating motoring history through rotating themed exhibits and a permanent collection of classic vehicles. Our venue features new, clean facilities, a new café and kitchen, and hosts a variety of visitors from car enthusiasts and families to corporate groups and event guests. With regularly changing displays and a mix of customer groups, each day brings fresh experiences and tasks in a vibrant, engaging environment.

About the Role

Are you an enthusiastic and reliable Front of House professional looking to bring your energy to a vibrant and diverse role? The Brisbane Motor Museum is seeking a customer focused team member to support our café, kitchen, functions, and gift shop operations. This role offers variety, responsibility, and the chance to grow within a unique venue that blends hospitality with motoring history.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll play a key role in creating memorable guest experiences by:

  • Welcoming and engaging with guests across all museum touchpoints
  • Processing customer orders
  • Assisting in the day to day operations of the café, kitchen, gift shop, and front of house
  • Maintaining cleanliness and presentation standards throughout the venue
  • Supporting the delivery of corporate meetings, functions, and events
  • Stepping into shift supervisory responsibilities as needed (growth opportunity)
  • Barista experience required – limited training can be provided

We're after someone who thrives in a fast paced environment, enjoys variety in their day, and takes pride in doing things well. Ideally, you'll bring:

  • Previous FOH experience in a busy café or hospitality setting
  • Availability for a rotating roster, including weekdays and weekends
  • A strong eye for detail and presentation
  • A proactive, positive, and solutions focused attitude
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively
  • A valid Food Handler Safety Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • A driver's licence (preferred)
  • Experience in corporate or event settings is a bonus
