Days/Times: [Thursdays 1–5 PM & Saturdays 10 AM–1 PM]

About the Participant:
The client is a warm, creative individual who enjoys conversations about photography, past travels, and their friendly dogs. They are currently working on developing structure in their daily life and would greatly benefit from a support worker who is patient, encouraging, and respectful of their independence and identity.

Key Support Areas:
Routine Support:

  • Assist with following a daily checklist
  • Help plan and structure the day
  • Provide gentle prompting and encouragement
  • Support with tasks that may be challenging
  • Laundry (downstairs washing, hanging, returning upstairs, putting away)
  • Kitchen tidying and dishwashing
  • Vacuuming and mopping
  • Rubbish collection and verge prep
  • Basic meal prep and vegetable chopping

Social and Emotional Support:

  • Engage in friendly, respectful conversation
  • Show interest in Client's passions and life stories

Comfort Around Dogs is Essential:
Client has affectionate, indoor dogs. Staff must be:

  • Comfortable or willing to build confidence around dogs
  • Understanding that discomfort around dogs may not be suitable for this role

Strong communication and active listening skills
Respectful of pronouns, boundaries, and identity
Comfortable working independently and following participant direction
Willing to learn and build rapport over time

Job Type: Casual

Pay: $32.00 – $50.00 per hour
