- The UGLs Maintenance & Manufacturing facility based in Bassendean has an opportunity for an experienced Trades Assistant to join the team.- This position will be a permanent full-time opportunity working on a rotating roster, one week of day shift 6.00am - 2.30pm, one week of afternoon shift 1.30pm - 10.30pm.- Reporting to the workshop supervisor, the main purpose of this role is to assist qualified trades staff in the performance of their work in a safe and efficient manner to deliver an exceptional standard of service to our clients.**About the role**
- Assist tradespeople as instructed to enable work to be carried out
- Operate hand tools in safe and efficient manner
- Assist in maintenance and overhaul activities on a variety of components
- Labouring duties as required
- Cleaning armature & stator cores for rewind
- Ensure active involvement in Lean practices
- A strong commitment to maintaining a safety environment

**About You**
- Minimum 3 months experience on a maintenance site preferred but not essential
- Elevated Work Platform Ticket preferred but not essential
- 'C' Class Drivers License
- Able to perform duties, maintaining high standards in both Safety and Quality.
- Sound experience in a similar role assisting trades people in a heavy industry environment
- High level of measuring skills and eye for detail and quality standards
- Strong safety culture and attitude towards safety
- Strong communication skills
