We are currently seeking an Accountant to join our finance team. Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will have the opportunity and autonomy to make this role your own. This role is integral to providing finance support to our Ballarat operations team. You will also be exposed to all aspects of finance activities as part of your day-to-day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake Daily Bank Reconciliation
  • Administer Internal Capital and Job Orders
  • Complete Capex Reports (liaise with project managers)
  • Maintain Fixed asset Register
  • Assist other departments with detailed expense analysis
  • Assist Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable where required
  • Undertake General Ledger Processing / Journals  month end etc.
  • BAS Statement Preparation
  • General ledger Account Reconciliations

What you'll bring…..

  • Batchelor of Commerce, or related discipline
  • Demonstrated experience in an accounting or similar role (3+ years)
  • Working knowledge of finance acumen
  • Ability to build rapport and effectively influence and liaise with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Attention to detail
  • Be passionate and have a down to earth approach

On-boarding requirements include a national police clearance and medical (including drug and alcohol).
