RAATISC are looking for a committed, skilled and passionate individual to join the friendly RAATSIC team as a Program Support Officer – Level 3 – Cairns Based – Family Participation Program – (Identified Position)

Position Purpose:

The primary responsibility of the Program Support Officer is responsible for overseeing the referral, assessment, and induction process for the Family Participation Program (FPP). The Program Support Officer works within a dedicated and passionate team and also in collaboration with key program stakeholders to meet project objectives, fulfill program and service delivery reporting requirements, and provide onsite support to the FPP Team and clientele. Core responsibilities of the position also include building, brokering and maintaining positive relationships and partnerships with key service providers, local community members, and community groups, to achieve positive outcomes for young people and strengthen service delivery.

The Opportunity:


• This position is Part-Time and is based in Cairns (occasional travel may be required).


• Provide administrative support of a complex nature and assistance to senior employees to meet internal requirements and external service agreement delivery expectations.


• Respond to enquiries and referrals professionally within a timely manner and complete intake procedures for clients in accordance with policies, procedures, frameworks and guidelines


• The Support Officer works as part of a team, to meet the program objectives, fulfill program and reporting requirements, and provide onsite support – including responding to issues and incidents as they arise.


• Develop and administer program implementation plans and templates, manage data, reports and relating information to facilitate program administration and service agreement compliance requirements.


• Work professionally and collaboratively with the RAATSICC Family Participation Plan Team and RAATSICC's associated Program's to make carefully considered and culturally safe and appropriate recommendations.


• Have the ability to work in a performance driven environment to meet individual weekly, monthly and quarterly performance targets.

About You:


• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality practices and organisational policy procedures.


• An ability to work in a culturally respectful and competent manner, with Aboriginal young people, their families and communities, to ensure that cultural connections are fostered and maintained.


• Understand child development and family functioning practices including theories of attachment, intergenerational and personal trauma as well as relevant risk assessment frameworks, service responses and interventions in working with vulnerable families.


• Have an above average level of computer skills and relevant technology, specifically all aspects of Microsoft Office suite.


• Have effective time management skills (punctuality, meeting deadlines, prioritising tasks).
